The Ultimate TV Guide

I know there are a lot of problems with TV: blue light, unrealistic bodies, unrealistic relationships, violence, and so on. And I’m not here to dispute any of that.

Nevertheless, I must confess, I am obsessed with watching TV.

Not only is TV a way to unwind and entertain, but I actually find it tremendously helpful for doing inner work. TV often helps me recognize my own shadows (parts of myself that I have pushed out of conscious view in an attempt to keep myself safe). Check Episode 53 of the podcast for more on the shadow self, shadow work, and how watching TV can help you live more authentically and have better relationships.

Watching TV is also a powerful way to recognize inner child wounding. In Episode 56, friend of the podcast, Stella, and I go into a deep dive of TV characters and how their childhood wounds affected their interpersonal relationships as adults.
