The Most Magical, High-Vibrational Foods

a few years ago, I was going through a massive uplevel. I had recently exited a very traumatic relationship. Well, the relationship itself wasn’t so traumatic, but the breakup was. It left me desolate and desperate. I was completely broken and every bit of pain & shame I had ever experienced was fresh on my mind.

In a way, that breakup was almost like a little death for me.

I feel like I was reborn afterwards. Even though the year that followed was TOUGH, it laid the foundation for who I am today.

During that year, I experimented a lot. Not with drugs or same sex relationships, but with everything wellness & new age spirituality. I did more modalities of therapy than I can count, I learned hypnotism, I went to psychics, I started doing breathwork and expanding my meditation modalities, I became obsessed with astrology, I tried kundalini yoga and went on ayahuasca retreats.

A lot of the things that I experimented with during that phase fell off. I no longer see physics, do moon rituals, or go on plant medicine retreats.

But one thing that remained was thinking of the metaphysical energy of foods.

During that year, I remember Nicole Berri posting an IG story where she mentioned the metaphysical energy of foods. She said she loves to eat foods that are rich in chlorophyll because they have the sun’s energy transmuted into food (sorry if i butchered that, i’m sure she said it more eloquently).

Something about this struck me deep.

Ever since, i’ve been obsessed with the energetics of food, and how we can use food to alchemize our lives

I love thinking of everything as energy, and food is no exception. It is literal energy in that we use it to fuel our bodies, but it also holds a more mystical energetic value.

I know this sounds really fucking woo woo— and it is— but hear me out:

which do you think is more high vibe: some wheatgrass freshly harvested from the soil, or a package of chips that were made in a factory, have highly processed ingredients, and are in a highly processed package?

The Energetics

Exploring the mystical and metaphysical aspects of food can be a fascinating journey that delves into ancient traditions, cultural beliefs, and spiritual practices.

Many spiritual traditions believe that everything, including food, emits energy vibrations that can influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Some foods are thought to have higher vibrational frequencies, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, while processed or unhealthy foods may have lower vibrations. By consuming foods with higher vibrations, individuals seek to elevate their own energy and consciousness.

The process of preparing food is often viewed as a form of alchemy, where raw ingredients are transformed through cooking, fermentation, or other methods into nourishing meals that nurture the body and soul. In alchemical traditions, food preparation is imbued with intention, mindfulness, and sacredness, transforming the act of cooking into a spiritual practice that fosters healing and transformation.

One way I like to practice this is to always be mindful of the energy I bring during food preparation. Preparing food is an energy transmission, a form of alchemy. When we approach it with love & good intention, we infuse the foods with that energy.

The other way I like to practice this is by eating foods that I think have a high vibration.

The List

Here are the foods that i think are the most high-vibe & magical, and why:

  1. PAPAYAS • they contain a proteolytic enzyme called papain, which helps break down proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, facilitating the digestion and absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, relieving symptoms of indigestion, bloating, and discomfort after meals; reduces inflammation; improves nutrient absorption; and helps remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and improve the texture and appearance of the skin, resulting in a smoother, more radiant complexion. I think papayas are one of the most high vibe foods out there and is truly one of the best things for your gut health & your skin. it leaves you radiating

  2. LACINATO KALE • the broad leaves create a lot of surface area to facilitate photosynthesis, and it’s extreme dark green shows just how chlorophyll-rich it is. Chlorophyll has been shown to support detoxification processes in the body by binding to and neutralizing toxins and heavy metals. By promoting the elimination of harmful substances, chlorophyll helps support liver health and detoxification pathways. Additionally, chlorophyll may help reduce body odor and bad breath by neutralizing odor-causing compounds. Lacianto Kale is also rich in fiber, and a great source of vitamins A, C, and K. the compounds found in Tuscan kale, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, have anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce inflammation in the body, and contains powerful antioxidants such as vitamin C and beta-carotene, which help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body and reduce oxidative stress. plus the fiber + vitamin C combo is great for keeping you regular

  3. PARSLEY & CILANTRO • these herbs are extremely rich in antioxidants & support gut health. parsley is particularly rich in chlorophyll, while cilantro is great for detoxification

  4. KIWI • rich in an enzyme, actinidin, which helps break down proteins, facilitating digestion and nutrient absorption. it improves the gut microbiome, and has a natural laxative effect– the combination of fiber, water, potassium, and vitamin C, and sorbitol help draw water into the colon & help you stay regular

  5. CITRUS FRUITS • contain antioxidants like vitamin C, flavonoids, and carotenoids, which help protect the skin from oxidative damage caused by free radicals and environmental stressors; and helps combat oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and support the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin, which is associated with feelings of well-being and happiness

  6. HONEYDEW & CANTALOUPE • contain nutrients like vitamin C and B vitamins, which play essential roles in brain health and mood regulation. Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, helping reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain. B vitamins, including folate and B6, are involved in neurotransmitter synthesis and may help regulate mood and reduce the risk of mood disorders like depression and anxiety. plus, the high fiber content & hydration make it excellent for staying regular & for your skin

  7. TOMATOES • rich in antioxidants like vitamin C, vitamin E, and lycopene, which help neutralize free radicals and protect the body against oxidative damage & help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain. the fiber + hydration helps keep you regular; the vitamin C + lycopene makes your skin glow; and tomatoes contain folate, a B vitamin that plays a crucial role in neurotransmitter synthesis and may help regulate mood and reduce the risk of depression and anxiety
