Poo Everyday with my Cleansing Water

A couple of weeks ago, I got a DM that I will cherish forever.

It said:

“I can’t thank you enough. We tried the Cleansing Water, and all her problems went away.”

Ok now that I have your attention, let me backtrack…

I have a follower who found my content via reels, and became intrigued because her friend was dealing with a bout of intense constipation. She tried to eat more fiber, she tried drinking more water, she tried exercising, taking magnesium, and doing yoga stretches.

But nothing worked.

She was frustrated, discouraged, and had lost all hope.

Sound familiar?

It’s sure as shit familiar to me.

Back when I was dealing with my chronic constipation, this was my life.

just the face of a formerly bloated girlie who now stays regular using her cleansing water!

The Missing Piece

In my experience, more often than not constipation can be linked to a lack of hydration in the colon.

And before you say “but I drink water,” let me put you at ease: I’m not referring to water.

Most of the water that people drink is demineralized. Aka, it lacks minerals.

When you drink demineralized water, it tends to pass through your system more quickly and be excreted via urine rather than being absorbed effectively at the cellular level. The absence of these minerals reduces the water's ability to promote osmotic balance, meaning it doesn't efficiently enter your cells or hydrate your colon.

Normally, minerals like sodium and potassium create an electrolyte gradient that helps water move from your bloodstream into your cells and tissues. Without this gradient, demineralized water doesn’t pull into cells as effectively and ends up being excreted rapidly by the kidneys, leaving your body without optimal hydration. This lack of hydration can affect your colon because, for normal bowel movements, your intestines rely on water to soften stool and ease its passage. Without proper water retention in the colon, stools become hard, leading to constipation.

I use Berkey filtered water from my stunning Walter ceramic housing!

The Remedy

the simplest way to remedy this is to just drink beverages that have minerals in them.

my cleansing water is mineralized, plus it has some other compounds that help hydrate the colon, get bowels moving, releases trapped gas, and reduces fluid retention. drinking it helps hydrate the colon, which stimulates peristalsis, the wave-like contractions of the intestines, and helps you eliminate!

The Benefits

as part of our October DeBloat by Halloween series, this dish is designed to reduce bloating, enhance elimination, and improve overall gut health. specifically:

  • Aloe vera and ginger juices are rich in enzymes and have natural anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Aloe vera gel is rich in water and contains mucilage, a gel-like substance that helps retain moisture. Ginger enhances digestion by promoting gastric emptying and stimulating bile production, which eases the breakdown of fats and food, reducing bloating.

  • Lemon and lime juices are both rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that can support gut health by helping the body produce collagen, which strengthens the gut lining. The citric acid in lemon and lime can stimulate digestive enzymes and improve the breakdown of food. They also encourage the production of gastric juices, improving overall digestion and easing bloating. The alkalizing effects of these citrus fruits in the body can help neutralize excess stomach acid, which is a common cause of bloating.

  • Trace mineral drops add essential electrolytes like magnesium and potassium, both of which are critical for muscle function, including the muscles that control peristalsis in your intestines. Magnesium, in particular, acts as a natural osmotic laxative, drawing water into the intestines and softening stool, while potassium helps balance sodium levels and fluid retention, reducing bloating.

  • Together, these ingredients work synergistically to hydrate your body, support enzyme production, stimulate healthy digestion, and regulate fluid balance, helping to alleviate bloating and constipation. This combination addresses the root causes of digestive discomfort by promoting both hydration and digestive efficiency, easing gut issues holistically.

Links & Notes

  • my favorite lemon press

    • you really don’t need this, but if you do a lot of lemon water, it’s good to have a good lemon press!

  • aloe juice (this is the ONLY brand I’ve seen that has no additives)

    • *I’ll be honest with you…I’ve noticed the least benefits from the aloe water addition, personally, so I often skip it. but for other people, it’s a literal godsend, so test it out for yourself!

  • trace mineral drops

    • these are non-negotiable!!!
